Harald Vogelsang (born in 1962) started his professional career with Siemens AG after completing his studies in economics at Bochum and Wuppertal Universities. He held a number of senior positions at Siemens, including Commercial Key Account Manager and Senior Management Consultant. He was based in Regensburg, the USA, Singapore and Korea. As a personal consultant to the Siemens Central Board in Munich, he was responsible for the integration of VDO into Siemens VDO as well as the strategic direction of ZF Sachs AG.
Following his time with Siemens, Harald Vogelsang worked in larger mid-sized companies like SAS Autosystemtechnik in Karlsruhe. Here, among other things, he was the Executive Vice President for the Eastern European, Asian and South American regions and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with commercial responsibility.
In 2007, Harald Vogelsang took over as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at VDO Automotive AG's Electronics and Drive-Train business unit. In addition to leading the finance branch, he headed the strategic planning and was responsible for important key projects of the VDO Group.
In February 2009, Harald Vogelsang was appointed to the Weidmüller Group Executive Board as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He is responsible for the areas of: Supply Chain Management and Logistics; Strategic Procurement; Facility Management; Finance and Accounting; Controlling; IT; Internal Audit/ Risk-Management and legal matters.
