Industrial Gigabit Router
Routers play a pivotal role in Industrial networks by segregating the office traffic and limiting access to specific devices ensuring the factory network is secure and robust. In the factory, they also allow installation of duplicate machinery with duplicate IP addresses across sub networks allowing stocking of 1 spare for each common component.
The latest Weidmuller router provides Gigabit WAN/LAN connection for fast network access with full firewall feature set, Network Address translation (NAT), Port Address Translation (PAT), VPN support with IPsec or Open VPN, all configured by web interface and stored on Sim card for backup and restore.
Other features include support for Modbus TCP commands for monitoring and controlling router functions, 2 digital inputs for local commands, and 2 x digital outputs for alarms and acknowledgement, with LED’s for indication of activities.
Operational temperature is –20-+70°C with power requirements of 7-36Vdc suiting various power options. Internet access is via a DSL modem on the WAN port or via the optional UMTS (3G) built in modem.
