Weidmüller at the IAA MOBILITY in Munich

Weidmüller at the IAA MOBILITY in Munich

Weidmüller is presenting its products and solutions for electric mobility for the first time at the IAA MOBILITY, one of the largest and most important mobility events in the world. The electronics and connectivity company can be found from 05 to 09 September in Hall B1, Stand B40 (Cordition joint stand). There, in addition to its AC SMART charging box family, Weidmüller will also be presenting its new, intelligent SMARTcharge load management system. Visitors will also learn how to easily integrate a PV system and several charging points.

AC SMART charging box family

Thanks to the possibility of intelligent networking, the new AC SMART charging box family can be used particularly flexibly and meets the highest requirements of a wide range of target groups

The new AC SMART charging box family is ready for any application scenario in the private or commercial sector. The platform-based charging concept with its basic equipment in three product lines ECO, VALUE and ADVANCED covers the most common applications and can be adapted to individual applications by means of standardised interfaces and versatile configuration options.

Load Management SMARTcharge

Up to 50 AC SMART charging boxes can be controlled and monitored remotely via the web interface

With SMARTcharge, Weidmüller has launched an intelligent load management system that makes it easy to set up, monitor and manage charging networks. SMARTcharge allows dynamic load management that continuously determines the available power and distributes it to the vehicles. This smart distribution ensures fast charging of e-cars. The load management system also helps to avoid high costs due to load peaks and grid failures.

PV integration

The AC SMART VALUE and AC SMART ADVANCED charging boxes enable excess PV charging by communicating with the inverter or integrating an external energy meter. With multiple charging points, PV surplus charging can be easily realised with the SMARTcharge load management system: SMARTcharge uses the surplus of the photovoltaic systems and supplies e-cars with green solar power.
