A PCN is generated if the fit-form-function of the product is affected:
Fit: The possibility that the product physically connects with another intended product to be electrically connected with it - so "fit" therefore clearly describes the interface of the product to a superordinate system. The relevant interface to the customer's system are usually specified by Weidmüller (in the data sheet/the WM customer drawing), especially the outside dimension.
Form: contour, size, weight and other visually perceivable parameters that describe an article from the outside. The focus lies on direct perception (visible deviations from the theoretical presentation on the product drawing) during observation and handling within the application or during proper use without disassembly.
Function: The functions ensured according to the specification (Weidmüller data sheet).
Should a product change occur, we will inform you six months before implementation and delivery of the changed product by sending a PCN.
After six months we automatically switch the product over to the changed variation.

Should a product cancellation occur, we will inform you at least two years in advance.
When a product is marked for cancellation, a reference to this is included in every quotation, in all order confirmations and invoices listing the product. This reference includes the discontinuation date, final order date and suggestions for an alternative product solution. All this information is also included on the product catalogue.
Usually we offer you a successor variation for every discontinued product. As well as the cancellation date, in our product catalogue you will also find information on a successor product.
In our product catalogue you find the right CAD model as a free download directly at the product next to the "General ordering data".
For every article, data sheets can be downloaded directly from the product catalogue. If you are unable to find a particular article, please contact your contact person in sales.
